It's very late (or very early if you're a morning person, though I hope in my heart of hearts that these people don't actually exist, and everyone loves the warm embrace of a bed fug, and ruffling your head against soft, cold pillows). And yes, parentheses (or brackets for people who couldn't give a toss about The Rules Of English) are a major feature in (my) writing. Joseph Heller had the same problem. But he's written a few more books than I have, so we'll let him off.

I'm New to Manchester, and I'll try to create a sense of freshness to a place that I've experienced over the past three months. So this is it.
